Default What Size Speakers!

Ok! What size speakers fit the front doors and what size speakers fit the rear (behind the seats)? I keep seeing people with different size speakers so what the max and what the actual fitments size! The reason I am asking is my uncle is can get some free sets of kenwood type of speakers, I just don't know what series! I know he has some
5 1/4 Kenwood Two Way, but no sure they will fit! Can't beat brand new speakers for $0.00.

Thanks in advance!

I will pay you 10 million dollars if you end any of your posts without an exclamation point.

I was going to answer his question, but then I noticed it was an exclamation and not a question after all.

8" woofer in door!
3.5" mid/tweeter in door (it is a poor full range)!

rears are 5.25!

IMO, Kenwood speakers are poop, but they'll be better than the Bose diarrhea speakers!

no 10 million for me either, damn

Maybe I should change my name to (Some Ting Wong) because I do not understand the Exclamation and the 10 million dollar joke, but I do have a sense of humor. As far as the Kenwood speakers, I know they are not the greatest but they are FREE, so I will try what he gives me first.

Also, can I replace the 8 inch subs with aftermarket or will I just lose the 8 inch subs all together. I hope I can put in different subs or speakers in place of them!

Free....(no exclamition point)

I agree, try the Kenwoods because I'm sure they will sound better than the Blose and they are an easy install.
Most guys will replace the door speakers with a 6.5" componet set and use a baffle. (you can make one or get one from Forum member Vrumvrum) Some guys will use a 3-way, a 6.5 mid bass...4" mid...and tweeter. Eatrice did a slick install with 3-way that used a 8" mid (MB Quart) Here is what I did using two sets of 6.5" componets.

[QUOTE=knewblewkorvette]rears are 5.25!

Actually, the rears in a C5 coupe are 6.5", not 5.25". The verts and FRCs have the 5.25s

I missed that coupe remark :o 5.25 will still fit.
I chucked my rear speakers and they'll never get replaced since I do not think I'll ever attempt a 5.1 system in the Vette, hence, no rear speakers needed or wanted.
