C5 stereo muting?
The gentleman that I sold my C5 to asked me to post and ask the question: Is there a way to electronically mute the Bose Stereo in the C5. He has hooked up a bluetooth phone receiver and he wishes it to control a mute function. Any suggestions?

What type of signal does his gizmo put out when it wants to mute the stereo (12Vdc, 5Vdc, open/close circuit)?
I've never heard of a mute feature on a C5 Bose, but I'm sure something can be rigged up to cut the power to either the HU or the amps if enough effort was put into it. Relays are cheap and relatively easy to make do whatever you want.
If he does want to try, you may want to tell him to sign up on the forum so you don't have to be the middle man.
