Default Is this possible?

I was wondering if you can hook dash speakers to the front speaker outputs from a head unit and also hook door speakers to an amp running off the front channel RCA outputs.
Thanks

Yes that is totally possible. There is only one draw back. Being able to match levels between the door speakers and the dash speakers. Generally you will not get the desired volume out of the amplified speakers before the non amplified speakers distort. Now that is written in stone. If you spend enough time adjusting the gain and xover points you can make it work. You could also put both the dash and door speakers on the amp though. Almost every amp made can handle 2 ohm stereo.

Thanks,
Is that what takes the amp from 4 ohms to 2 ohms?
2 speakers per side rather than 1?

I should add that my amp is a rockford fosgate 401S.
I believe it is around 200watts x 2 @ 2ohms.
