I'm tapping the constant power from the original harness, DARK GREEN wire. Doesn't seem to be working. Is this constant power supposed to be 12v? I understand that the 'turn on' power isn't , but I thought the constant was supposed to be.
both acc and constant should be +12v. I didnt use the stock wiring for my car so i'm not sure if Chevy uses DARK GREEN for constant. i always thought it was orange red or yellow
This is what I got from my post. Also, I called Dr Don's and he said not to tap into the factory harness to avoid voltage fluxuations in the BCM, but if you are going to, it is the Orange wire in the black plug.

I cannot remember off the top of my head but I think the orange was the constant and the yellow was the switched and black was ground. I did not hookup the dimmer.
