Does anyone know of a good stereo install kit for a '93 vette? I got an alpine head unit with the car, unfortunately it's just laying in there not bolted down or anything. After taking it out I also found out they wired the main power of the deck to the cig lighter. Ugh, so I'll have to do a little wiring too. What's sad is a shop actually installed this for the previous owner. Anyway, I'd like to get a kit that has a cd holder underneath the head unit to take up the extra space, anyone know of one? If not I'll probably try making my own using fiberglass. Thanks in advance.
Went through the same thing with my 93 coupe. Took me forever to find a company that made install brackets/cover. Anyone that has ever thumbed Ecklers has seen a way overpriced JVC head unit with a kit aimed at 92-96 vettes, so obviously someone has this figured out.
I found something on the net almost a year ago that claimed my year and was like $9, so I ordered it. I forget the name of the site, but I think I can find it. I never did use the kit yet, but this might be a good reason to see if it actually fits. I'll check in the next few days and get back to you.
I used this one and it kooks great, plenty of adjustment in the braket assy. to get it just right to any single, I used a kenwood kdc x898 deck w/mosfit amps and G force way cool!
