Wire gauge for battery?

Wire gauge for battery?
Anybody know the wire gauge for the main battery wires?...4, 8, 10 gauge? I'm planning on installing my new audio system this weekend and would like to get a new battery terminal for the amp connection.
I don't know when GM changed battery connection (my 04 Z06 has a funky clip that crimped to the main wires) but my 2000 FRC had a standard terminals which worked well for a "loop" type terminal connection. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

i'm not sure myself but you may want to think about upgrading the 'big 3' wires.

I've heard horror stories about the factory battery leaking. Guess what is directly below the battery, about $2000 worth of repairs
Get an Optima for a better battery that will never leak.
