Default AVIC-N2 Speed Sensor wire ?

Does anyone have any info. on where to hook up the speed sensor wire..? read a few posts that even after hooking it up it does not pick up. thoughts?

2nd ? I was watching vehicle dynamics this am and took an on ramp one of the fun ones and lost communication …is it possible to excide the side acceleration of the cornering limits of the unit? It did reset after a few miles.

Sorry for not including.. this is on my 04 C5

Thanks

I do believe it is a green/white stripe wire behind the radio. I am trying to verify that though

I looked in the Service Manual and it is a green/white stripe wire. This would be so much better than having to go to Power control module under battery. Confirmation by someone would be very helpful. It makes sense the VSS has to go to the instrument gauge cluster

Issue solved…. There is a green/white wire on the Radio harness; this is not the speed sensor wire it is a speaker wire.

After some, disassemble of the dash of course with the service Manual in hand! I found the right green/white wire. It goes to the plug on the back of the instrument cluster. Actually there are two green/whites, one is for the Oil Temp the other is the speed sensor wire.

After unplugging the connector from the cluster you will find two green/white stripe wires, you will want the Green/white (A7-circuit 817) with a Tan/white (A6-circuit 33) above it and a black (A8-circuit 150 ) below it..The other green/white (A10-circuit 357) oil temp has a blank and a gray on each side.

pin..wire
A5 Blank….
A6…Tan/White
A7 Speed Sensor…Green/White
A8…Black
A9 Blank
A10 Oil Temp…Green/White
A11…Gray

Thanks for the info. I am going to make a note of that. I went to the PCM in my car but had to go there for other wires. This would be easier than going there.

How much "disassembly" of the dash is required to access the wire here? Is there a link anywhere in this forum to show how to access the cluster? Thanks for any help!!

Step 9c shows the plug...I did not have to remove the cluster to reach it just pull it forward...

SO is it confirmed that this is infact the correct speed signal wire? I have been running my nerw Avic-D1 with the VSS wire not connected. I just didnt feel like having to dig into the PCM wire harness. If this is infact giving the correct signal and one of you guys can confirm the unit is showing speed pulse I will go ahead and do the same.

Thanks
