Great audio installer in Chicago

His name is Marty and he works for
"Soundzplus"
" your best choice for Car Electronics and Accessories"
I 88 and Rte59 in that area ...
He was able, through e-mail mind you, to diagnose my antenna problem and tell me how to fix it. Pretty darn good considering there is probably 2000 miles between us.
Can't tell you how well his installs look but if they are half as good as his technical knowledge, they must look awesome.
Thanks Marty, if we ever meet face to face, I owe you a beer, or more.

...a beer it is ......
I am also looking to install a AVN5435 in a '05 1SA. I want to keep the factory amp and speakers (for now). It looks like the best harness to use is the PAC C2R-GM24?
It seems most of the wiring is pretty straightforward except tapping into the VSS wire. On the 1SB, it looks like it is already in the harness (according to the Helms manual I just got). But on my 1SA, where is the best place to tap the VSS wire?
Also, can you put the 5V audio outs on the AVN5435 directly into the U66 amp that comes with the car or do you need some sort of line leveler?
Thanks!

Ok -- the VSS in the car you have is located under the car at the ECM - Green/White - Passenger side just behind the front wheel
The 5v out of the radio will work fine with the factory Bose system .. actually .. everyone we've ever done we added a Line Driver to (8v) and they sound great -- (well as good as Bose can sound any way)
FYI there is no Double DIN dash kit for this car .. We have Modified the Stock Metra Kit to fit .. takes alittle time .. but it mounts in there solid and allows the stock bezel to snap in nice ..
Hope this helps ...
