Default Sirius in C6??

Hi all,

I currently have a C5 but am looking into a C6. I know XM is a factory option, however I like the programming on Sirius better, and I hate the placement of the XM antenna. My C5 has the Sirius Starbase in the ashtray and the antenna in the rear bumper. Anybody done this on a C6?

Thanks,

--Tor

Well, actually it's the variety of 80's channels I like, The Big 80's, Classic Vinyl, Classic Rewind, First Wave, Hair Nation...

I have sirius radio and what I did is use velcro and placed the antenna in the same spot as GM places the xm antenna. The wire is so thin that I just ran it in through the rear hatch. I problem is trying to find a place to mount the radio. I have it stuck alongside the passenger seat but it is hard to see to change channels. This what I have to do to be able to listen to STERN in 2006. I love my new C6 and am very sirius about it!

Rick,

Which Sirius unit did you install? Any pics? Is there a good place to fit a starbase in a C6?

Got it mounted today. As soon as my son gets back from vacation,( he has the digital camera) I will take some picks and try to post them. I am still having a problem trying to figure that out but I will try.

i too would love to have sirius... mainly for howard...

would be awsesome if it could be accessed thru the nva head unit, but i suppose you can always do the aux input (CDx) into the bav unit that some have been doing...

You should be able to put it in the ash tray area I just put the XM commander in there works great

Boozman,

That's what I'm talking about! Can you close the ashtray lid like on the C5, or does it remain in the down position? Where is the antenna?

The Sirius Starbase is pretty much the same size as the XM Commander.

Thanks,
