can't sing along
I bought a cd player from a 98 and installed it in my 97. It plays the radio fine but when i try and put a cd in, the err (error) message comes up. What do I have to do to get it to play?

If it's a standard cd, and not a cd-rw or mp3, then I'd say you have a faulty unit.

I just had the same problem with my CD player. I tried the lens cleaner, but it wouldn't even play that. I ended up removing it and replacing with an Alpine CDA-9820XM. What the hay, I needed XM anyhow.
