AVN 5435 questions....

AVN 5435 questions....
OK, I have been lurking in the audio on and off for a year or so. I admit I dont know a thing at all about NAV... that said, I love the AVN-5435 and Im sold on getting it.. Stupid question but I have to ask. do I need to do anything special to get the Nav feature to work? where do I get the cd's since Im in Canada, is there a industry wide cd that works with all systems? How do you know if you have the most up to date cd and where can you get newer ones.
Once the AVN is installed and I have the Canadian or maybe its a north american cd in it.. does it automatically hook up to gps ? I guess it seems to easy for me to just buy this unit and have it installed.. any thoughts or answers? Thanks guys
