Will the GPS antenna pick up if mounted under the dash pad?

No - it need a clear view of the sky - no metal shields to the heavens please. Best is a clear view from horizon to horizon for the antenna.

i have mine mounted under the bottom of the rear 1/4 panel. no problems with sat locks for me
