The first question that pops into your mind when your detector goes off is, "Where is he"? Only the V1 tells you ahead, behind or to the side. Door openers work on X and on K band and usually will indicate the source is from the side. You don't own an inferior car, why would you want to own an inferior radar/laser detector?
