Default Is this possible?

I have a set of MB Quart 5.25 inch components hanging around. I would like to put them in my doors of my 02 coupe. I was wondering if I could also purchase the 4 inch speaker from MB quart and make my own 3 way set up?

In the door would be as follows:

5.25 woofer
1 inch tweeter
4 inch speaker

It's kind of my own take on a 3 way set up. Would I need to get a plate from vrum vrum to make this happen? Let me know your take on this set-up.

The 4 in will be redundant. You need more bass.

without some kind of crossover, or at least a resistor in line it will be a full range speaker.......no problem until you turn it up....then buzz, buzz, buzz.......pppphhhhhht!

yes, that is possible....but...I have a better solution.

MB Quart makes a 6.5" just for turning a a 2-way into a 3-way. They include the woofer and the crossover. Might be a tad more expensive than the 4" but the results would be worth it.

I checked out that link...they run about 190 for the set with the crossover. Thanks for the tip
