Default Audiophile help needed

OK, I just got another P1R off Ebay. So, now I have this bada$$ Audio control RTA and I'm worried that the 13 band built in EQ won't be enough for me.

Problem I run my P1R in pro mode that crosses over the RCA outputs. I am considering bidding on a couple of 30 band EQ on Ebay but when i called audio control they did not recommend me doing the EQ before the X-over. I can see why but you know how we get when we have an Idea and want to run with it.

SOOOOoooooooooo. My question, (assuming i get the EQs) do I use one EQ on the L and R tweeter channel and one on the L and R mid channel. I know I lose the 2 EQ control this way but my worry is channel "crosstalk". I fear that if I run the mid and tweet left or right channel into each EQ that the channels will "bleed" slightly into one another and might cause my tweeters to blow. I asked the tech guy at AC this and he seemed to not understand what I was talking about.

And please don't lecture me on overkill. I know that most ears, heck, probably all ears that will ever be in my car won't be able to tell much difference. This is just my cheap route way of really wanting that P9 and processor but by no means being able to afford it.....

running your EQ before the crossover has been done many times with success. Aside from having a digital piece that does eq and crossover in one unit, I would say most folks eq the signal before the crossover.

1 2 channel EQ is all you need.
