Default C4 tweeter placement in front...HELP!!!

Tough to find this info here for C4's. Everyone seems to have C5's and C6's.

I am looking for options for tweeters in the front. I'm thinking surface mount either in the A pillars or up where the windshield meets the top of the dash.

Specifically:

What tweeters to buy that won't break my wallet?

Where to put them (not where the sun never shines)?

Pics would be most helpful.

Buying a C6 unfortunately is not an option, at least not for a while.

thats an easy one ..

Use the stock locations in the Dash pad .. There are no speakers in there - but the panel can be removed and recovered in Blk Grill Cloth -

Done it in a few C4's - looks totally stock ..

Good Luck -

I wish it was that easy. I have a 94. I don't think there are any "stock locations" in the dash other than the defrost vent.

You are right ... I mis read - i thought it was an 84 -

on a 94 - lil more difficult - might be more of a custom type install to get them in there clean .

Good luck

Sorry

try them in different spots. You need to hear where they sound good to you. I have them on the low side of the door panel, but am thinking about moving them a little higher on the door panel.

I put a set of 1" dome on the A piliars. They sound great and mount in the stock screw placement. Ill take some pics tonight and post them for ya. They definatly dont look stock, but if your looking for sound improvement, its worth it. O yeah I paid like $7 off ebay. Ive run them in parallel with the front 4x6 so they run 2ohms. Ive put evey bit of power from my HU and they hold it and ask for more. Email me @ ianmayberry@yahoo.com and ill send you a link to the auction.
