...Subs are awsome! I built a box going by the manufacturer exact specifications, and let me tell you having two of these 12" is awsome the amount of bass that comes out. I haven't figured how to post a picture yet, but there is a photo in my album and waiting for more to be approved
The subwoofers are pioneer premier TS-SW124D, the cost depends on where you buy them, I got mine off of ebay, I wouldn't recommend using the guy I did, but the cost is about the same $75ea. + shipping, in town they cost $199 ea. What is nice is they only require a 4" mounting depth and require .8 cu. ft. of air space, so if you only want one, you can put a tiny thin box in the back of the hatch, but I have two, so they required some space but only 10" deep so not bad.
The SWS-12 By Earthquake will blow the doors off of the Pioneer! The SWS-12 0nly needs 3" of depth and will do 2" of excursion! The sound quality is not bad.
doesn't seem right, do you have a link or website to look at you got me interested
This sub is actually pretty good the 10" actually out-performes the Pioneer as well. The greatest thing about these subwoofers are they weigh almost nothing therefore preserving the performance of your vette by not weighing it down like other subwoofers do with ceramic ferrite magnets. Here is the link:
Have you had both both subs? The earthquake handles less power and has the same mounting req as the pioneer, just wondering how it can be that much better. I have never seen earthquake in person so I can't judge them, I havent seen them in any kind of stereo shop either.
