My stereo installation guy tells me that PAC Audio is now saying that it has fixed the problems with Version 2 of its Aux input for the C6 Nav system.
He asked if I wanted to try it. I said no until I hear from others that it is working. I do not want to take my car apart for the fourth time to try something until I know it works.
I too am waiting for someone to try this. The big problem before was that the PAC unit never shut off and would drain the battery. The audio section worked fine. If the power for the unit came from a switched source there all would be perfect (or if the unit senced a source and turned itself on). I don't know if this is fixed in the V2.
I agree with this. I would also be on my 4th attempt with a Sirius Direct Connect unit. When I removed the PAC-Audio module, I connected this unit via FM modulation but can't find an accessory switched power source (see my other post). I'm not going there again unless someone can tell me this is really fixed or can recommend another supplier whose equipment is known to work (someone else told me about a Stargate module).
I just checked with the PAC Audio techs this AM. The problem is not cured.
Thanks for the response. That is very helpful. My installer is trying to get me to try the new PAC audio piece that they sent him, and I have told him no until the problems are worked out. Your post convinced me I was right to wait.
