Default DDX7017 Install progress with pics

I posted pics of my install progress on my 98 coupe. I don't think I can post pics that big in the forum, so I just loaded them up on a site and you guys can look at whichever ones you wish...

This is right in the middle of the install, so there are wires all over the place and its a mess! The only thing I am waiting on is the DynaMat I ordered then I will put everything back together neatly and take some more pics. There is a shot of the remote bass control in the ashtray - this isn't mounted down yet which is why it looks sloppy.

Also, I powered both front and rear speakers from the deck, and I was pleasently surprised. I thought they would sound like crap but they actually sound really good. The subs are monsters, my ears are still sore. They are the only speakers hooked up to an amp.

Here is some info on the install:

Deck: Kenwood DDX7017
Front speakers: Kenwood KFC-P605IE
Rear Speakers: Kenwood KFC-C1739ie
Subs: Audiobahn AW1000N
Amp: Audiobahn A8001DT
Sirius Tuner: SIR-KEN1

Enjoy!

looking good. love it when people render the ashtray unusable! it's amazing what just amplified subs can do for a system. it makes everything sound a lot louder and clearer (since you dont have to put the volume up as high.

nice work
