1985 vette front door box removal/speaker selection
Besides for completely disassembling the door/window, ect & taking out the 4 screws, then slowly breaking the box/door seal, is there anything else? Besides what I wrote, I do not see anyother way of taking out the box.
I am not going for big sound just clear sound. I could just go with 4" up front, block off the port & be done with it. But if i'm going to replace, why not go with something a bit bigger( more size options).
Here is just the basic setup I was thinking. Nothing special, just some pretty decent sound, is all i'm after got about $1000 to spend( I have more but am not going to spend more..it isn't nessessary).
HU choice is the Pioneer DEH 77DH( Not much els eby way of good 1.5DIN HU's out there)
Front doors will either be the POLK db400 or the Polk MMC460.
Rear's will be db690 or the MMC690
I REALLY do not want to add an amp to this deal. But with the speakers I want, I really do not think the HU will support them.
Any thoughts on some good SQ speakers that do not take alot to drive them?
I have been doing SPL for a while & haven't been around many new products in a few years. So any help would be appreciated.
