radar jammers any good?

i have a BEL 905 Jammer and a Bel 985 detector and YES it works and works VERY VERY WELL.

As far as jamming laser, yes, they work very well and it is not illegal to jam laser..HOWEVER...many municipalities have passed laws saying that any interference with police speed measuring devices is illegal...so, you better check with your local police, or better yet consult your attorney before using a laser jammer.

10 years in federal prison AND $250,000
The FCC has some serious teeth - laser is currently outside of their influence, but don't count on it to stay that way.
If they haven't already look for places using laser to make it illegal to jam them.

thats a big
its runs in GA at hifibuys $525 installed.
so long as you can find a place to hide the sensors esp. the rear, it will be hard for the police to tell you have it if you disengage after shifting so they can get your reduced speed.
Unless they ARE A$$es then they wont have a justification for pulling over if you shift and then recieve.
then all you need is a place to conceal your radar detector IF you do get pulled over- at the top of the windshield and running the wire down the side. - - - another expensive option is the SR7 which has VERY good reviews and is also a radar detector with sensors mounted on your car and a concealed display.
my 8500 is nice in that it detects detector detectors...
if its senses police radar dectector detectors then it will shut itself off!!!
WOW that was a mouthfull.
an 8500 or better SR7 WITH A ZR3 is the best warning and protection you can buy. Period.... But it still doesnt jam radar(illegal) so its not 100% fool proof. thats the chance you take with speeding
but hey id rather have a moderate safe speeder than a wreckless driver!!!! Minus school zones and neighborhoods

You can even take your license plate off the car and the laser gun will be able to measure your speed !! I think many CFers believe that police radar guns, being called ,"lasers", mean that the gun transmits a pencil lead size pulsed beam of light and that the officer aims for a good reflector, like a license plate. Police laser guns transmit a cone of light starting from the gun at about 2 inches in diameter and it spreads out in a cone shape and illuminates your entire car depending on how far your car is from the gun.
As far as us knowing that you have a jammer... We know... There is no warning that we have, no majic box, beepers, bells, chimes or whistles that go off. There is just a blank screen on the radar display usually, maybe an error code or God help you it could end up reading WAY fast and we will get you anyway only at a faster speed than you were truely going. You see, we drive around all day and stare at this screen for hours on end, we know when something is going on. Do you know when something is just not quite right with your idle on your Vette? Of course you do, something just doesn't seem right, we are the same way.
Someone posted a question about bending your front license plate to divert the laser away... BS, thats all I have to say about that, total BS.
Heres the deal guys and girls, DONT SPEED AND YOU WILL BE FINE!!! I dont want to respond to you and your Vette scattered all over the road, save it for the track... Just my two cents in the nickel and dime world...
