I pulled the console out of my 14-day-old C6 coupe today to do an iPod install. I installed the SoundGate AUXGMV3 as others have, but can not make it work. No combination of button presses (install manual says 'seek up' x 3 then 'seek down'; members have said 'cd/aux' x 3 then 'band') can make the unit work. Power is good, ground is good.
I have tried every jumper setting inside the AUXGMV3.
Worse yet, when XM is activated the static is unbelievable and what little sound there is coming from XM is extremely quiet and choppy. As soon as I take out the AUXGMV3 and plug XM back directly into the head unit, all is well again. If the XM can't even pass through properly, it makes me wonder if this unit is bad.
I have tried disconnecting all wiring from the stereo and reinstalling, per the manual.

Where are you guys connecting the power for this? I have tried two different units and neither of them are working for me at all. I do not have XM or Nav. I am connecting the power to the cig lighter and I show, with a multimeter, that 12v is getting to the AUXGMV3's harness. I am totally frustrated. Any ideas?
