Default CD player - Time to change again?

I installed this about 5 years ago and now the CD player is starting to act up. I've called a Clarion authorized service center and they said $90-$160 to repair. At first I'm thinking that's not bad. I could remove it and replace it no problem. Now I'm wondering if I'd be better off, getting something newer since quality and sound usually gets better with the newer stuff. This thing doesn't "see" text on CD's, can't play MP3's, WM, etc. I've about decided the cassette is no longer needed as I think I may have used it once. I'm not sure I want to go single Din with storage underneath though. Figured I'd ask here for some ideas? If I go with something else though, then I have to worry about getting it all to fit again.

Here's my single din Clarion with the under pocket mount. I can't say I use the pocket much, but I think it looks decent.

I'll probably have to see a few more before I make up my mind. I went with what I have now because I really wanted to keep the same style as the original. Now that it's on it's way out, I just don't know. Decisions...............Decisions.......

Default another option for your consideration

Here's a link to my C4 system. There is no pocket, but I really like the logo. There's info in the post about it.
