Buy some infinity 3.5" twiddlers to replace the factory ones. Easiest sound improvement you can make to the factory Blose system. FAQ has info on it.
You can replace the rear speakers as well (think they are 5.25" in the vert and FRC cars) they may be 6.5" not sure. You cannot replace the 8" woofers in the door very easily unfortunately.
If you want easy buy a nice CD/mp3 deck, (new alpine has full speed IPOD connections) a mounting plate from vrumvrum, a nice set of 6.5" and tweet components and a 10" sub with a box from subthump.com, pick up a 2 ohm stable 4 channel amp that will mount in the space on the back wall and never look back at the Blose shyt.
