Default Yes another Nav upgrade

Decided to replace the Nav system in my 2006. What a pain, trying to figure out if I have a amp or not. No service manuals for 2006 yet. Does anyone know which wire I need for kicking on the amp. The AVIC-D2 says to connect to the system control teminal of the power amp. The pin breakout (car harness) that I've been looking at has a B3 Ant enable signal. In back of my AVIC I have two wires marked auto ant remote control and one that has system remote control both are blue of course. Any Idea which one???

Thanks

ok -- well you got it right - well kinda -

The B3 wire.. is White this powers up the Antenna and the amp -

you should use the Blue with the White stripe-

This will allow the amp to stay on when you switch from Radio to CD/DVD .

Have you gotten the correct intergration harness ?

This will help too

I'm using the Metra GMO5-04, Had it hooked up yesterday but no sound. According to the instructions I should have cycled power on and off but I didn't. Didn't see that part, so I pulled the system back out.

The Metra OS-04 ? just ckn -

Ok-- soundz like you have the right part.. you might have to do a modification --

the last C6 I did .... I had to change the way the it was wired ...

The Remote output from the module .. goes to turn on the OEM amp - It shuts off ...

Sooo - I had to tie all of them together ... it worked perfectly ...

Hope this helps ... Also - Ck the voltage on that B3 white wire... should be 12v

good luk

Found out I've only got ~ 5.2vdc on pin 3 (white wire) not sure why the voltage drop. But I'm going to bypass the module and try it again
