help with C5 stereo
I am looking at doing a new system in my 99 C5. i am going to go with a sony cdx m8810 head unit. I now need your help in deciding on an amp and sub setup. What would be best for my car. i previously had a 12' fosgate sub in my denali and it rocked. I need help. I am also looking at making a custom fiberglass box. what amps are cheap/affordable? i want at least an 800w or better.

What kind of music do you listen to? How much bass do you REALLY want? (rock the car bass, rock the car next to you bass, **** people off bass?) What is your budget and are you having it installed or doing it yourself? Plan on sound deadening any?

I like what scott mentioned .. good subs for the money. Could do two 10's in a subthump.com box in the center console then roll over to walmart and spend $2 on some polyfill and throw a bit in each sub enclosure. Would be plenty of bass for most people. You want SERIOUS bass in a vette you have to go pretty custom enclosure/build out.

I listen to hip hop/r&b. I am going to do my own custom fiberglass box in the center rear compartment and get it painted electron blue to match. I am looking for an amp/sub combo that will rock my vette for less than $650-700.
