Ok, so I got my car back from the body shop friday. Since then, the driver side crackles like hell, and eventually goes in and out. Any idea what to look for? I've done the usual look for loose wires. The connections at the speakers are soldered.
Also, from time to time, the amp will cut out for a few seconds then come back. Any ideas? Is that usually a ground issue?
Found out what was wrong. Monster Cable RCA's suck. the fittings that connect to the amp are loose. Almost to the point that they slide off themselves. I tried to crimp them down to make them tighter, but they are brittle and almost break apart. great product.
Sorry to hear that. At least you found the culprit. I'm a big fan of monster. Just not their prices. Check out www.knukonceptz.com for some rca cables. Im very happy with their cable as well. Many here recommend these cables for amp installs.
I can honestly say I am less then happy with monster cable especially at the price, the quality just isnt there. I get a huge monster cable discount through work and I still take the KunKonceptz RCAs over the monster
