i honestly havent even had time to enjoy it much. there were so many systems going all day at the show that were shaking the building, i couldnt even hear mine.

so today i am going to go for a drive and listen to it some. i do know one thing, the dynamat made a huge difference with the road noise!!!!

i think on the deck lid panel, we are going to re-do where the black is and make it yellow. it seems like it just gets lost in the underside of the trunk and you almost dont even notice the carbon fiber at all.

after spending some time driving it, heres what i noticed.

with cd's or dvd's playing it sounds great, xm sounds washed out and at a much lower volume, and my ipod mount has some issue picking up noise somewhere.

the bass is strong, the mids and high's are crisp. need to get the rattles all gone from the toneau cover and deck lid and probably the waterfall as well.

the touch screen on the d1 gets all nasty from fingerprints very quick, but i love being able to use the touch screen.

Looks !

What kind of speakers do you have? Which JL amps?

Also, how did you mount the amps. Did you raise the floor of the trunk or mount the amps on a board? I'm getting a similar system for my C6 vert - 2 JL amps, and I'm very interested in this aspect. Any chance you have more pics of the amp area?

Default Tuned out

See what can happen when you park next to a couple of tuners with flashy paint jobs.

the carbon fiber sub top looks unfinished to me. Maybe if you put a trim around it of some type. Maybe to match your trunk lid. Like the black plexi might look cool

its a set of xr653's up front with a 10w6 in back. 300/2 and a 250/1 for the sub. if i had to do it again, i would get the 500/1 amp because its the same size as the 300/2.

we mounted everything to the stock floor including the power distribution and xm nav traffic box and built a flush surround around it.

dpg, we are going to continue the false floor to the back and make something more finished looking. when we did it, i wanted to be able to use the stock cover over the sub and now after hearing it, i decided that idea sucked donkey ballz. i think we are going to bring the edges in some, maybe put some yellow around the edge and some led lights to light it all up in the back.

i just have to decide how serious i want to get with any shows before i dump more money into it.

Thats sounds cool. Yea, im still debating on what to do with mine as far as a trunk lid liner. There is a guy here that made a cool cover for his sub using some left over materials and was able to use the cover. It was vented and covered with a black mesh i think. Looked stock from what i remember except when you turned it over and saw the aluminum or steel shell

Funny you should mention that - I just got the same two amps!!! Not hooked up yet. I'll be running 2 8w3v3's (just coming out with v3 this month). Althouth I was told the 250/1 will have ample power for the 8's, my first reaction was I wish I had gotten a larger amp, if not for anything else, for the symmetry!

Anyway, I understand the 250/1 really kicks *** and it should be more than enough for my 2 8w3v3's, so I'm not going to change it.

I'm also getting the XR 650's (2 component version); my subs are going behind the seats in the cubby holes; that's why I'm using 8's.

the 250/1 has plenty of power, its just a appearance thing for me i guess.
your setup should rock!
