what is the difference avic D1 or D2????

what is the difference avic D1 or D2????
I am planning my next 02 project.... an avic d1 or d2. Crutchfield has the D1 for $ 1195 and the D2 for $ 1495.... what is the difference and is the d2 worth $ 300 extra??
