Default Single DIN with retractable screen

Do you folks that have one of these head units like it? Does the screen shake around a lot when driving, and does it have the feeling like you need to be careful with it or it will break?

I really like the look of the new Alpine unit coming out (IVA-W200), but the thought of completely redoing my center dash does not give me the greatest feeling.

redo the center dash! it's pretty simple just time consuming. we can help you out every step of the way. If you purchase a used radio bezel then you wont have to worry about screwing up your stock piece.

I have a Kenwood flip out and like it. It does not shake and is very sturdy. It was already in the car when I bought it, but if I was doing it fresh, I would go for the 2x din. IMO, it looks better and does not block the center vent. We are talking minor differences though. Plus, modding the dash looks kinda tough.

No issues here solid as a rock..I did move the ac head unit to the top so it did not block the AC ducts.

I have an Avic N1 also. My screen does cover the vent, but you can set the screen to come forward some (not angle) but in the settings menu, you can select it to not recess.
I still have room for that vent to work, but I seldom use those. I usually use dash and feet as the others dry my eyes out.

I don't have problems with my screen shaking at all and it sits very snug, so I don't worry about it during aggressive driving. I DO put the screen away when I'm racing though.
