High level to RCA Converter question

High level to RCA Converter question
First off has anyone used one of these and if so what kind of sound quality can I expect? My buddy is setting up a stereo on a budget and he likes his head unit and wants to use one of these so he can convert his H/U output to RCA's. I am a little leary of this idea, don't know if it will impart any distortion or if he will still have the same sound quality as his factory head unit. I know he should change out the head unit but he doesn't like the way the aftermarket looks with the adapter plate. Thanks for any experience you can share.

I have used them in the past on several occasions. As long as you get a good brand, I think the ones I used were PAC, they will do alright and won't distort the sound as to where you could tell with the human ear.
