Since I am redoing the engine harness, and have my complete dash apart I was looking at the Fuse panel and would really like to move it. In the past I had a blown fuse in a parking lot, had to move the car to a more open area so I could change it. In our 96 Sable the fuse panel (one of two) is under the hood, its nice and easy to replace a fuse, open the hood and do it, dont have to have the room to swing a door the whole way open.
Anyways, I was wondering if the fuse panel could be mounted flush with the firewall (no more A/C stuff, so that area of the firewall is open to anything) and getting access to it from an open hood. Would this be a doable project? Is the fuse panel going to see anything it cant handle under there? (Weather, heat, etc)
I am trying to make things as painful now so that they are painless later.
