Im screwed
OK guys, i was replacing my lights on the bose headunit with LED ones and now i have no lights. The radio plays just fine and the LCD with the time works fine. I gave the LEDs a battery source and they all light up. But when the h/u is plugged into the car. it doesnt work. Is there anything else I can check? Im so pissed right now that i just want to get a new h/u. Any advice would be great.Thanks

All LEDs need is a power source and ground. They do however, need to be wired with the leads in a cetain direction. If you have one reversed, none of them will work. I'm guessing you already know about the different voltage LEDs

anyway to tell what the polarity is by the circuit board? Before i put everything back together, i did a test and all the lights worked but 3, so i changed to polarity on those and when i went to go test it again. none of them worked. Seems like the board is getting power by the LCD lighting up. Is it possible to apply too much heat to the board and screw it up? Im just so confused right now. I wish there were polarity markings on the board.
