Since this is an audio section (and the mods dont even know we exist) I'm posting this here
anyone that likes really good rock has to buy thier new cd. It is amazing and is making me hate myself for not having my car system finished yet! I got the cd yesterday and have not listened to anything but this cd at work (i constantly have headphones on since i sit in front of a computer all day and play...err i mean create art )
seriously though...they are not hard rock or death metal...just amazing music! go listen to it today! 'right in two' has been on repeat for the last half hour
Tool rocks!
Old Metallica rules!
I'm a 80's music guy sometimes but for the most part I'm a headbanger. I know a 38 year old should grow up and listen to elevator music but F#@$ that. I'll be 80 years old and still headbang
Is it as good as their "old" album? I liked a lot of the tracks off of that. And old metallica does rule F'k being too old to rock out, I will have anything from DMB through Miles Davis cranked up when I roll around and don't care
Will check it out, maybe we could put together a little MP3 hosting server somewhere ....

Thats allright brother, sounds like my cd collection!
It runs from Van Morrison to Iron Maiden.
Picking which one is all about the mood du jour.
Scott, I'm in on checking out the new Tool. Thanks for the heads up!

I know there are more... but I can't remember!
Dayum....Foghat? I didn't know they were still in business. Every once in a blue moon the local rock station in Philly will play Fool for the City.
Floyd would be sweet to see! I know Waters or Gilmour are touring now, forget which one.
Genesis is rumored to be considering a reunion. Collins said he'd be happy to take a back seat and drum while Gabriel sings and of course Rutherford on the axe
Buffett would be cool, but I'm not as big a fan as his ticket prices. Shows are sold out the instant they go online and first 20 rows are all comped out.
My ticket broker can get seats to the NYC venues, but even in the 20th row, the tickets were like $1000 a piece!
He sells 'em out though.

Man, I read this whole thread and did not see the name of the BEST guitar player in the rock world, Eric Clapton, not to mention Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Buddy Guy.

WMMR by chance? I am a native of Delaware.

They both are, I think...

Rutherford used to be the bass player. Steve Hacket, IIRC, was the axe man. I would so go.

hm... must be new... I was within that range at my first show in 1999!!!

That's damned near usery!
I was on www.ticketmaster.com at 0958, and checking every so often. At 1002, I was hitting find, at 1003, I was getting tix!!! I was SO stoked!!!

Whats up with that
Randy
A thread that addresses all the great musicians would be 200 pages long bro.
Besides, I though Clapton always got more acclaim for his blues playing than he did rock. As great as he is, I don't think the guy can hold a candle to Steve Morse or Joe Satriani for rock guitar. For blues, Eric would kill 'em with soulfullness though....
I've got plenty of cds from above mentioned except Buddy Guy. Know of him, but don't have any of his stuff.
Also not mentioned here are Hendrix, Satriani, Vai, Steve Morse, Phil Keaggy and the list goes on

hm... must be new... I was within that range at my first show in 1999!!! ++Not quoted as fact, but it seems like most concerts I go to the first chunk of rows are all comped out.
