I have heard nothing but bad things about Rocky Mountain products. When I was researching radar detectors, they likened the "radar jamming" properties of the device to a cardboard box. I'll have to hunt down the link again...
I personally use the Beltronics RX65. Very user friendly, nice package/design, and I really enjoy the voice announcement of what band it is encountering. Works like a champ and has saved me from 5 possible tickets in about 8 months. Haven't received one since I purchased it.
