It does cut the bass down some for sure. A bit more gain will help, but not completely overcome the blockage from the partition in my experience. You couple that with a vented cover like I have for mine right now and you lose I would say about 30% of your bass output. If you plan on running a cover and a partition, I would look into another 100 watts or so for the amp driving it if it were me. I still am not quite happy with the tuning of my bass, time to pull the passenger seat out again
Vented cover? You mean over the sub? The sub is open, no cover or grill over it. Only one 10" crossfire sub powered by a 300 crossfire amp. It'll hit harder than it is now. I have the gain and sub output on the headunit down.
I suppose you do lose most if not all of the percusion from the bass though right? It'll move your hair and shake your eyeballs right now.
Ya I have a vented cover over mine right now because I need to use the trunk space in the back for my sticks and what not. It will decrease some but before you go retuning your system put it in and check it out some.
Mine sounds about the same with the partition. Im running 2 10's and there is only the slightest sound difference with the partition in. But ive adjusted it with the partition in. I run with the partition in about 99% of the time, so no big deal for me.
