Okay, I've done the IPOD conversion with the MP3yourcar kit and have it in the rear center hatch and it sounds great...BUT trying to have it skip to the next song or next few songs is a nightmare! It will let me skip a few songs and then all of a sudden it just resets and goes right back to where I started! And forget about going back to previous songs...no luck at all there.
Anybody have any ideas on how to make it a bit more controllable and predictable? All I want is to be able to move on to the next song or two without it bouncing back to the song I was just on. I've read a few threads where others seem to have similiar problems but have not seen any solutions. Am I out of luck? If so, guess I might need to consider relocating it up to the front console where I can use the IPOD itself to control the music. I really don't want to do this because would rather keep the front as uncluttered looking as possible.
im sorry but i think your gonna have to relocate. I did with mine. I just pulled the ashtray out and put the ipod behind the ashtray door. I left enough slack in the cable so that I can pull it out and change what ever i had to. I got used to it enough to where i would just reach into the ashtray part and skip to the next song without even taking my eyes off the road. It became second nature. SOrry, you can try talkin with their support and see if they come up with anything or relocate. Good luck

Looks like that might end up being the best idea. Jeez, I hate to have to relocate the cable after just routing it to the back a couple days ago! But it's getting REALLY annoying having it jump back music tracks all the time. Thanks for your help.
How did you re-route your cable when you relocated yours? Through the center console or back along the passenger door sill area?

This is such an annoying problem... HU control, or lack thereof, I mean. It seems like the manufacturer should correct this bug or provide a different dip switch setting or something...
