Default some tuning help please....

Hey stereo gurus. Im starting to play around with my headunit and becoming familiar with all the gizmos on it.

Just for a quick rundown as to what im working with here:
Headunit: eclipse cd5000
Front: CDT CL-61A 2ways
No rears
Subs: 2 10s image dynamics
Amp:PG octane R 8.0.4

I have the tweeter crossover set at -3db on the crossover itself. The amp freq is set at 80hz for front and rear(sub).

Now here are some base settings that i will need from you guys. Do I keep the amp settings at what they are? Or do I need to change something? On the headunit, what should my crossover point be? right now its 80hz with a 18db slope. whatever that means Also, how should i have the EQ set on the headunit as well. There are 7 EQ adjustments. Thanks for the help
Dave

Non fade is set to normal (revers means ur subs are invert mounted or wired retartedly). As far as the crossover points IMO 80Hz is a great point to cross a system at. You can turn them off at the amp but you have to make sure its working on the deck then, remeber I dont know that deck that well haha. Because if for some reason it gets turned off on the deck you will have highs goin to ur sub and stuff. Personally I would leave it at 80 on the amp and the deck and just play with the EQ curves. We really need to get that tuning mic in there.

So I take it -3db sounds a bit nicer on the ears then 0db. All and all how are you likeing the speakers? Did you ahve to bring your gains up at all?
