I have made the decision to run a set of Polk Audio db6500 components and a 12 inch sub in my C5 coupe. Can anyone suggest an amp that will push these components and a decent 12 inch sub. If u have any suggestions on the sub, it would be helpful also.
a vette interior is very small. may iask what made you decide on a 12" sub. Personally I think a 10" in a proper enclosure with good power would me plenty.
As for subs i've always been partial towards JL Audio. I was around when Lucio first started the company and I know how he does things and his products are excellent. For a C5 the JL Audio Stealthbox is always a good choice to consider.
While on their website looking at the stealthbox, look at their 5-channel amp also. Good power, clean sound, and built in crossovers to make the install nice and easy.
I like last years Pioneer Premier GM-6150 F. This years model is PRS-D4000f with new technology, but I havn't heard it yet. The 6150 is an awsome amp and will run in 3 channel mode with the rears bridged. It also doesn't take 14 volts to run it at rated power. The best part is they dont cost an arm and a leg. MSRP at 200.00, but you can find them around 150.00.
