'84 radio swap

I have an '84 with the standard am/fm cassette. I remember a vendor at Carlisle was selling GM radios from a Cadillac that was a direct swap for the early c4's. These caddy units had am/fm/cd/eq. I want to get one of these for my '84 but I just can't remember what caddy these came from. Does anybody know? If you are familiar with this retrofit is it as simple as a direct swap? Are wiring adapters needed?

That is more than likely a later Caddy Concert Sound head.

Personally, you would be better off with aftermarket, and loose the GM connection entirely.

Read the C4 Audio FAQ for some ideas.

I agree with bogus, if your going to pay the money, why not get a new unit and have all the advances that comes with it. Going with a new aftermarket radio is the best route, look into it
