Radar
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Now days, wether it's x-band, POP, or laser (Lidar), it's all "instant on." That means that cop sees you speeding, points the radar (if hand held), and releases the beam. By the time your detector sounds, your brain recognizes it, and you apply the brakes, the officer has your speed displayed. Your toast.
If you are behind one or more cars, and the officer is trying to nail someone in front of you, the detector may sound, and you'll be able to slow.
I stopped a kid in a tricked out Honda who threw his V1 out the window. I made him pick it up of course.

As with any radar detector, though, you're still toast if you're the lead dog, so find a rabbit to run behind and let him flush out the cop.
