satellite radio question
Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks!!!
These things have an information protocol that requires decoding... and then presentation.
For example, my Alpine 7998 has XM... well it will do both. But it won't do HD Radio. The protocals are different.
The sat radio goes through the tuner, and is not accessed as an auxillary input, like a CD changer works.
In short, no.

www.alpine-usa.com will have several options. This one comes to mind: http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/product...model=IVA-W200 Sat radio/HD Radio/AI-Net/DVD Audio/Video... it should also fit real good. I suspect it would also integrate with a Nav system, too.
you will need some adaptors to make it work with the Bose.
Another thought, go ***** to the wall and go all aftermarket.
You may also want to consider Eclipse...

I have it ran that way with my Sirius and it gives great sound. You can not control the satellite with the stock head unit.

I didn't know such a thing existed.

I recently decided to go the Satellite Radio route. I had a Kenwood installed that had a "GM kit" to fit the existing space of the factory AM_FM-radio. When I turn the ignition off the control heads flips backwards to show a "blank space" (see pics) or it allows me to remove it and take it with me. Pretty KEWL - I think!
As far as XM vs. Sirius - does not matter anymore, today's radios come with "adapter kits" to fit your preference (XM/Sirius). For example, the Kenwood apparently comes with Sirius - but I am a 2x- XM customer, so the adapter now makes my Kenwood an XM Radio. It has a CD which plays MP3, WMA etc, behind the control head. I also had an adapter installed in the center console for an IPOD player as well. I went the whole 9 yards and had a 500 watt amp installed in the center hole in back and a bass on the deck behind the driver's seat - hey I like my music TOO!!
Depending on your budget, there was a POST of a Satellite Radio a CF member installed in the space just below the temperature controls. See link below. Pretty KEWL as well!

My Kenwood system: (Sorry - don't know why the 2nd pic came out so large

Here is a solution to that problem.
