90' C4 speaker wiring
hey i pulled all the bose stuff out and have my pioneer headunit wired up.
im replacing the speakers with 5 1/4 in front and 6x9 sony 3ways in the back.
Can I just hook the speakers up to the existing connections, or do i have to bypass the little bose amps in the enclosures?

Need to bypass the amps -
There are 4 wires there --
If memory serves me correctly ..
They are -
RED = Power
BLACK = Ground
GREEN =Signal in
GRAY = Signal in
You can just take the inputs and cut them off - then extend them to your new speakers - then the radio will power the speakers ..
No need to re wire the car -
Good Luck

do yourself a favour and run new wire. the gm wire is gnarly junk. Get a 50' roll of Monster 16 gauge speaker wire and be done with it.

I bought a 40 foot roll of 18 gauge speaker wire, but after hearing that, i'm not sure I want to use the new wire. I could spend all day rewiring the stupid car... or just cut a few wires.

just an FYI -
If all you are doing is using the radio for power to the new speakers ...
Really no need to replace all the wire - There is no audible difference.
If you are looking for performace and are adding some Hi-end Speakers with an Amp... then sure re wire it -

Or go to home depot and get 50' of the 14 gauge speaker wire. Worked for me
