I'll be powering it with a Rockford Fosgate bd1000 amp (500 watts rms at 4 ohms)

That's a good deal, the audio shop price would probably be close to $300. I believe the x215 is a 2ohm speaker rated at 1500 watts max, so you'll want to wire it up to the amp accordingly.
