Help with C6 6Speed radio power

Replaced my Bose unit with the Alpine W200, now I have DBS, however I tried turning radio off before shutting down car and seems not to drain battery when I do that. Any ideas

I'm not familiar with the Alpine specifically but almost all amps have a 12V trigger. You should have found a switched 12V source to tap into and connect it to the 12V trigger on the Alpine. This will tell the amp to shut off when you turn off the car's power.
