AM Reception Problems
Hello,
I have a problem with AM reception in my 99 C5 coupe. While AM is playing, I will start to hear Static and hissing background noise, which will increase until the AM broadcast can’t be heard at all. This has gotten worse with time, and happens more and more often. The FM works fine. My questions are:
1. Could this be the antenna module?
2. How do I troubleshoot this problem?
3. Where can I get a Service/Repair manual for this GM-Delco CD Radio system?

Is your rear window tinted? Is it a metallic tint? Sounds crazy, but the metallic tint on mine ruined my AM reception. I switched the tint to a non-metallic film (ceramic based) and all is well. Better than FM reception now.
