back in 96; i think, this was method was tested by rockford with their new line of subs and it netted great results during r&d. The subs were slated to be the 'AW' line (all weather) with a kevlar cone and titanium basket. They never did see the light of day because of the cost of the subs but they were supposed to give you amazing bass in a free air installation.
obviously, this dope just read about it somewhere and tried it with some off the shelf subs...probably didnt' get the same results.
I wonder if he drives under a low metal bridge, would the magnets lift the car off the ground? It is a small car after all... That would be cool to see.
this would be great to see in person. I didnt know that this was actually tested by a reputible company. great for a show car i guess if they can make it look good.

I guess by doing subs this way you are not losing any interior space...I too should have done this in my Vette since I now have ZERO extra space in the hatch. I'm such a dumbazz and that guy was a genius
