Ditto!!!!

 

I have the Passport SR7 with the laser shifter upgrade installed on the Vette. I keep it in expert mode which displays radar frequencies, this feature is very nice once you learn the system. I love my Passport and have had numerous saves and no significant close calls that I could blame on the system. The laser shifter has been a bit of a misinvestment since the only lidar traps I've run into have been downtown where I drive the limit. But it seemed to be doing it's job.

Favorite features on the Passport
-It's built in. I don't like stuff hanging off my windshield.
-Displays frequencies.
-Has a loud external speaker
-In dash dummy light in case you don't hear the speaker
-Incredible range. I usually pick up patrol cars 3-6 miles ahead. Especially Ka frequencies.
-Earphone jack

Now that I've pimped my own system, to be honest it's my understanding the Bel RX65 is supposed to be the best. I believe it is the only detector that can pick up the POP radar short bursts and it seems to test out at the top of the ranks consistently.

The "it" configuration might be a BEL RX65, a blinder laser diffuser and Veil stealth coating applied the grill and headlights. A Dodge Magnum is reported to have run the cannonball with this set up ticket free.

Of course all things considered your eyes and experience on your route is your best defense. Oh, and don't speed in urban areas unless your a judge.
