Delco Bose Question
I just got a new stereo for my 86 convertible, it used to have a delco bose stereo in it, but it's shot. The wiring doesn't match up easily from the new stereo, which obviously isn't an original bose. My question is, where can I get a wiring harness to hook up the new stereo? It sure would make it a lot easier to hook everything up. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure about this (others will chime in though) but I believe you have to change the speakers, or modify them, as well. The Bose sytem amplifiers are in each speaker, not the head unit.

You are correct, the amplifiers are in each speaker. Someone told me I wouldn't have to change each speaker, which I hope is the case. The power supply to each amp is connected with the positive and negative for each speaker, and the guy I talked to said if I get a harness, it would include the power to the amp as well. Anyone know?

You can normally find a wiring harness at auto parts stores which will connect an aftermarket deck to the original GM wiring. Trust me, don't cut wires...buy the harness. I put a bose back into mine because a previous owner did a terrible wiring job. It has been difficult.
As everyone has pointed out, you will have to purchase different speakers. The Delco Bose speakers have the amps built into the enclosure. With aftermarket speakers you will certainly get more bass.
