When you guys run your system with components assuming with crossovers hooked up to your amp do turn off the crossover frequency on your amp and only allow only the crossover to work from the component speakers?
I personally do because I want the really deep base to be only out of the sub. I think I have the amp crossed over at 170HZ or something like that. My component set has their own crossover that does the rest. I think it would depend on what kind of sound your looking for. But I was curious if using them both has some sort of unwanted result. So I am will be
Yes, use both.
The supplied crossover that comes with the speakers normally just crossovers the frequency between the mid and tweet. If you have a subwoofer, then run you amp crossover at about 80 Hz. If you don't have a sub, use 50 Hz.
